The Poway Symphony Orchestra will be joined by nationally acclaimed pianist Fred Moyer for its March 17 concert. Moyer will perform Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2. The orchestra will also perform Berlioz’s Hungarian March and Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet Overture-Fantasy.

Maestro John LoPiccolo, music director and conductor for the Poway Symphony Orchestra, shared, “It is the first time that the Poway Symphony Orchestra features a soloist of this caliber. We are excited to perform this wonderful concerto with someone as unique as Fred Moyer.”

“The opportunity to feature Mr. Moyer as a soloist was made possible by a generous sponsor who stepped forward to provide the necessary funds,” explained Bo Matthys, President of the Poway Symphony Orchestra Foundation. “For this we are extremely grateful.”

The concert will be held March 17 at 4 p.m. at Poway Center for the Performing Arts. Find out more at www.powaysymphonyorchestra.org.
