Rancho Bernardo Community Presbyterian Church Gallery is showcasing the work of local artist Kathryn Peterson through the end of February. The exhibit, titled One Hundred Years of Women, includes 50 of Kathryn’s pieces. The artwork represents her six women-centered themes: action, strength, intelligence, adaptability, vulnerability, and ancestors. The exhibit is open daily with free admission.

The following month, Kathryn will be taking part in a joint exhibit with six other award-winning female artists at Poway Center for Performing Arts: Doris Bertch, JoLind Eckstein, Carol Mansfield, Janet Perkin, Vita Sorrentino, and Ann Westbrook. The exhibit, titled Off the Pedestal, represents nature and a woman’s path in life through a wide variety of media. Off the Pedestal will run Feb. 27 through March 30, and the center is open Tuesdays through Fridays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Call 858-668-4693 to confirm hours on performance days.
