Join your neighbors at Poway’s National Night Out, held Tuesday, Aug. 7 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the San Diego Sheriff’s Department Poway Patrol Station. National Night Out promotes community-building between neighbors and local law enforcement. Highlights to look forward to this year include:

  • Demonstrations from the Sheriff Department’s Special Enforcement Detail/SWAT unit as well as the Sheriff Department’s Search and Rescue Team
  • Local Disaster Preparedness information from Poway’s Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and Poway Neighborhood Emergency Corps (PNEC)
  • Trauma Intervention information from Trauma Intervention Programs (TIP)
  • Patrol car and firetruck tours from Sheriff’s deputies and Poway Fire Department firefighters
  • Child fingerprinting with Poway Station’s Senior Volunteer Unit
  • Poway Library giveaways and library card registration
  • Girl Scouts information and recruitment
  • Sheriff’s department job opportunity information
  • Free food and drinks from the Poway Target
