The Rotary Club of Poway-Scripps recently spent a morning of service clearing trails at the Kumeyaay-Ipai Interpretive Center. The spring cleaning required clippers, pruners, and enthusiastic Rotary members. Club President Alan Noblitt shared, “We were happy to stay longer and accomplish more but we filled the available dumpsters.”

The Kumeyaay-Ipai Interpretive Center is a five-acre Native American cultural and historical site. The center was founded by the Friends of the Kumeyaay, San Pasqual Band of Indians, and City of Poway, and it offers docent-guided educational tours, trails to explore, and artifact and photography exhibits at the Education Center.

Poway-Scripps Rotary achieves a number of service projects each year, from clearing trails to sponsoring the annual Poway Days Parade. The club meets every Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at Mainstream Bar & Grill. Learn more at and
