Poway High School student Leif Proctor was one of six recipients of the 2017 North County Society of Fine Arts (NCSFA) scholarships. NCSFA awards scholarships each year to deserving North County high school seniors who intend to pursue degrees in the visual art fields. Leif demonstrated his talent and creativity and shared his enthusiasm for visual and performing arts with the Scholarship Committee. He plans to attend Miramar College and then transfer to a university, with the ultimate goal of becoming a professional artist.

NCSFA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering appreciation and education of fine art in the community. In order to be considered for the scholarship, students must meet the requirements, complete the written application, and be interviewed by the selection committee. A total of $4,000 was divided among the winners this year. Learn more at www.ncsfa.org.
