The Poway High School PTSA is preparing to host the Monte Carlo Masquerade-themed Grad Nite for the Class of 2017 on Thursday, June 8. Graduation night is historically one of the deadliest nights for students across the nation. Grad Nite is a safe and sober annual event held on graduation night in the school gymnasium to help prevent drug- and alcohol-related deaths in the community. In previous years, as many as 85 percent of graduating seniors have attended. The Grad Nite Committee encourages community members to get involved by donating prizes or food, sponsoring a game booth or casino table, or volunteering to help construct the set-up and staff the event itself. All donations are tax-deductible.
