Halcyon Real Estate Services
“Your Expert Agent in the Poway Unified School District!”
In 1993, Cynthia Elizondo earned her M.B.A. in International Business. She has used the knowledge she gained to start several successful entrepreneurial endeavors, but her true passion has always lain with real estate. So, when she was presented with the opportunity to follow that dream, she jumped at the chance and never looked back.
Cynthia began working with Halcyon Real Estate Services so that she could help others achieve their dreams of buying and selling their first home, investment property, or simply take the next step on their journey in real estate.
A certified negotiation expert, Cynthia knows exactly what it takes to make a successful deal. When representing buyers, Cynthia takes the time to learn exactly what they are looking for in a home, as well as what price they are comfortable with, in order to match them with their ideal property. When representing sellers, she thinks outside the box to negotiate deals with potential buyers, creating a win-win situation for both parties.
Cynthia’s expertise especially lies with the residential areas that make up the Poway Unified School District. Growing up in Northern California, Cynthia ultimately found her dream home here in North County, where she raised two children who attended PUSD schools for over 15 years. Utilizing her familiarity with the school district and all it has to offer, Cynthia is able to provide her clients with an extensive knowledge of various schools. Ultimately, she can help clients find a home within the boundaries of the school best suited for them and their children.
Following her belief that volunteerism makes for a strong community, Cynthia serves on the board of directors for the Poway Senior Center and the Poway Chamber of Commerce, and volunteers with Soroptimist International of Poway and Poway Real Estate Professionals. As a devout Catholic, Cynthia is also an active member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church, where her husband serves as a deacon.
In addition to English, Cynthia is also fluent in Spanish and French. And if you speak the language of wine, she is always happy to regale you with stories of being raised in the Napa Valley.
“Cynthia was fantastic in helping us find our dream home. We moved from out of state and she made sure we knew everything about our new community. She worked with us for over 6 months and was very responsive with all of our requests. After we made an offer on a home, she worked with the selling agent, our lender, inspectors, and the title company to make sure the transaction was as smooth as possible. Cynthia is by far the best agent I’ve worked with.” – Client who bought a home in Poway

Bret Geernaert has enjoyed being in the customer service industry for over 30 years in San Diego because of the pride and satisfaction he feels when the events come together and run like a well-oiled machine.
“I make it a point to treat my clients like lifelong friends and I look forward to carrying on this tradition in my new real estate career at Coldwell Banker Rancho Bernardo,” said Bret.
He previously owned and operated his own local restaurant and catering business for 11 years, and he added, “The best part of running my own business was being in control of everything, from hiring employees to the execution of a well-crafted meal for friends.”
He sees his transition to a real estate agent in the same way. “I am my own business, I run my office in the same way,” he said. “I am in control of everything from social media, marketing, and choosing trusted home inspectors to the final signature of closing documents and seeing the absolute joy on my clients face at the completion of the transaction. I welcome the opportunity to represent you in marketing and purchase of your next home or estate.”
Bret is backed by the prestigious Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage family, and they have given him the experience, resources, and understanding of any unique buying or selling needs.
