The Poway Symphony Orchestra and Poway Community Choir are collaborating in a special program at the Poway Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday, May 21 at 4 p.m. The Poway Community Choir will begin singing a selection of choir music under the direction of Nancy Gray. The combined groups will then perform two powerful compositions for choir and orchestra by Beethoven and Brahms under the direction of Music Director John LoPiccolo. The second half of the concert will be orchestral and include two movements of Handel’s Water Music suite as well as Violin Concerto No. 1 by Max Bruch, performed by acclaimed violinist Misha Vayman as guest soloist.
