This holiday season will bring a little powder snow to 92064 at the Christmas in the Park and Winter Nights Festival events. So pack your warm clothes and make your way down to the parks for some timeless holiday celebrations in your own community backyard.

Christmas in the Park is on Dec. 14 from 3:30 to 8:30 p.m at Old Poway Park. There will be a Christmas tree lighting, Santa and Mrs. Claus, hayrides, a petting zoo, live entertainment and children’s performances, square dancing, holiday treats and so much more. This event is free and open to the public.

Winter Nights Festival is Jan. 10 from 5 to 9 p.m. and Jan. 11 from 3 to 9 p.m, held at the Poway Community Park on Civic Center Drive. There will be sledding on a snow hill, roasting marshmallows and s’mores, a synthetic ice rink, live music, and several vendors for fun shopping. Nominal entry fees are set at $5 for adults, $3 for kids, and $15 for a family of five.
